Brander’s Edge was professionally designed & constructed for the summer of 2019. Its 3-acre parcel of land was specifically chosen to optimize privacy and vast water views - while still being a short stroll away from a beautiful north shore beach.
The entrance to this large summer home transitions to a very bright and spacious open-concept kitchen, dining and living area that welcomes you with comfortable furnishings styled in a coastal farmhouse vibe. The vaulted living ceiling is 20’ high with soaring 17’ windows overlooking the beach, ocean and whimsical pond. There are amazing views from literally every vantage point of the open-concept space. The house has 4 bedrooms (sleeps 12), 4 bathrooms and is air conditioned.
The custom kitchen is beautiful and bright! Stainless steel appliances (large French-door fridge, front control range & range hood, dishwasher and microwave) provide all the conveniences of home with an added luxury of a wine cooler and beverage centre. The island is 10’ long and offers 4 stools for extra seating. Counter space is abundant as are the cupboards/drawers and storage. A cook’s delight in a well-designed space with natural art scapes from every window.
Directly across from the kitchen is the dining area with a locally crafted harvest table, seating for 10 and generous windows with great views. Beyond the kitchen and dining is your double-door access to the screen porch. This spacious, all-screened and well-furnished porch is exposed to the east, south and west - providing water views and sunlight from dusk to dawn. A space you will not want to leave.
The living room is a perfect gathering spot for family and friends with two full sofas (deep seats and down-filled), leather arm chairs, a propane fireplace, 55” TV, stunning views and access to the large ocean-side deck. The deck runs the entire back length of the house and serves as a great outdoor entertaining and living space with classic Adirondack chairs.
Beyond the living room and to the left you’ll find the back entry/laundry room and an accessible bathroom (toilet, sink and shower). To the right you’ll find the master (king) bedroom with full en-suite (toilet, sink and tub/shower) and large closet. The master also boasts amazing ocean views and private access to the ocean-side deck. The spacious and second king bedroom is also in this wing of the house.
As you walk up to the second floor landing you are greeted with yet another gorgeous ocean view. The family room on this level opens to the upper deck through large patio doors. The views on this deck are panoramic! A great space for gazing, reading, gaming or napping! The family room also has ample seating (sofa and chair) and a large TV.
The second level is complete with a third king bedroom with full en-suite (toilet, sink and tub/shower), the fourth bathroom (toilet, sink and tub/shower) and the custom bedroom. This fourth bedroom was designed with built-in beds…two upper single beds and two lower queen beds (all with adequate head space and built-in nooks). The bedroom also has a TV and pouf seating to create a private (and quiet) media area for kids.
Wander down the private road to the beach stairs that offer direct access to our beautiful north shore beach (5-7 minute walk). This beach access is available only to you and your neighbors in this exclusive community. We also provide a wagon to make transporting kids, toys and snacks to the beach much easier. The cottage is complete with air conditioning, a fully equipped kitchen, a full-size washer and dryer, wifi, satellite, bed linens, towels, beach towels, beach chairs, beach toys, an outdoor shower, a propane BBQ off the screen porch, outdoor dining and a stone bonfire pit.
